As a company which engages intensively with sustainability and environmental protection, DORBENA AG BETTWARENFABRIK participates in the STOP OCEAN PLASTIC project and, with the BLUE OCEAN series, produces duvets and pillows using fibres from the plastic collected from the ocean.
PLASTIC BANK encourages people to collect plastic waste in order to protect the environment while, at the same time, creating value for themselves which can improve their quality of life. The plastic collected can be exchanged by the local population for cash, benefits in kind or credits.
The plastic is washed, shredded, dried, sorted and processed to fibres using special sustainable methods. The high-quality Aerelle® fibre from ADVANSA has received the EU environmental seal and GRS certification and has been tested for traceability.
