Important Care Instructions for a
Long Service Life of bedding

All DORBENA bedding products are labeled with internationally recognized care symbols. Proper washing and drying help ensure a long service life and continued enjoyment of the products.

Washing the duvets and Pillows

You can easily wash our pillows and duvets that include care instructions on your own.

Please follow these care instructions:

Use a washing machine that is large enough; for example, for an all-season duvet measuring 160 x 210 cm, use a machine with a capacity of at least 6 kg, and for a lightweight duvet measuring 160 x 210 cm, use a machine with a capacity of at least 4 kg.
bedding Always wash separately using a pH-neutral, gentle detergent.
Select a cycle with an integrated spin cycle (bedding s absorb several times their own weight in water).

Drying the duvets and Pillows

Be sure to dry separately in the dryer.
Add tennis balls to the dryer—this helps distribute the laundry evenly during the drying cycle.
For downn and feathern, set the dryer to “extra dry” or “maximum temperature”; do not select an automatic cycle.
For synthetic fibreproducts, set the dryer to 60°.
Pause the drying cycle every 30 minutes and briefly fluff the duvets / pillows.
Dry for approx. 60–120 min., then let the machine run on a cool setting for a few minutes.
After drying, check the moisture content while the item is still cold by kneading it vigorously; if necessary, dry it again (the warm duvet / pillow feels drier than it actually is).

General Care Tips

duvetShake out blankets and pillows regularly.
duvetDo not treat the blankets and pillows with a carpet beater.
Do not hang them in direct sunlight.
duvetReplace them after 5–8 years.
Replace the cushions after 3–5 years.

pH-neutral mild detergent can be ordered separately.

Laundry Symbols

40° Delicate Wash

Delicate items, such as those made of modal or viscose, and items made of synthetic fibers (polyacrylic, polyester, and polyamide). Significantly reduce the load size. Fill the drum only halfway. Select the appropriate wash cycle. Do not spin-dry, or spin-dry only briefly, to prevent wrinkling.

60° Mixed Load

"Easy-care" items: Reduce the load size. Fill the drum no more than 2/3 full. Select the appropriate wash cycle (delicate cycle) with or without a pre-wash. Do not spin-dry, or spin-dry only briefly, to prevent wrinkling.
