Down and feathers are among the most wonderful materials nature provides for sleeping. A good down duvet is light, fluffy, ensuring a perfect bed climate. Down is created to absorb moisture and release it again into the ambient air. Down has outstanding insulating properties, thus providing a constant feeling of wellbeing while we sleep.
Thanks to their spines, feathers are characterised by a high degree of elasticity and fill power, making them the perfect filling material for pillows. They ideally support the sleeper’s head and neck and relieve the spinal column.
The high-class covers are matched to the respective down qualities, guaranteeing the greatest possible breathability yet ensuring that down cannot pierce the fabric. Furthermore, the way our fabrics are woven prevents house dust mites invading the duvets or pillows.
We achieve the high DORBENA quality thanks to our decades of expertise, our on-site washing system with our own mountain spring water, our sorting plant and our fully-integrated production.
Our high-class bedding made of down and feathers is divided into three quality categories:
PREMIUM
Down and small feathers of unusual size, quality and fill power. Extra-fine and very breathable fabric.
PRO
Down and small feathers with outstanding filling or support properties. Finest, breathable fabric.
CLASSIC
Down and small feathers of above-average quality and fill power. Fine, breathable fabric.
The volume refers to the fill power of the down and small feathers. The higher the quality, the greater the fill power with the same content weight (see illustration above).
